Wood Options

Grade A Knot-Free Western Red Cedar

The classic sauna wood choice. This premium softwood stays cool to the touch and naturally resists moisture and decay. Its refined knot-free appearance features beautiful color variations from reddish tones to warm browns.

Thermo Aspen / Alder

Thermally modified at over 419°F, this wood delivers exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and a rich modern aesthetic. Ideal for homeowners seeking a luxury sauna finish.

Thermo Poplar

Thermally treated at approximately 374°F, Thermo Poplar offers improved humidity resistance and dimensional stability while maintaining a warm, natural appearance.

Sauna Heater Options

All heaters are 8KW, include sauna stones, and are sized for rooms up to 425 cubic feet. Select based on your preferred control style and aesthetic.

Additional Notes

Your sauna shipment includes an all-glass door. Some product photos may display a glass wall for demonstration purposes.

Backrests ship flat. Angled backrests can be achieved on-site with additional spacers if desired.

Wall boards run horizontally unless the room width exceeds 8 ft, in which case an interior seam will be added.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the custom sizing process work?

When you request a quote, we ask for your room's interior dimensions - length, width, and ceiling height. Our team works with the manufacturer to configure the kit precisely to your space. All panels, benches, and trim arrive pre-cut. Your contractor assembles; nothing needs to be cut on-site.

What does my contractor actually need to do?

Your contractor handles the structural framing, insulation, vapor barrier, electrical rough-in, and exterior wall finishing. We supply everything inside: tongue-and-groove wall and ceiling panels, benches, door, lighting, and all interior trim. We provide a full installation manual and are available by phone throughout the build.

What electrical requirements should I plan for?

Electric heater models require a dedicated 240V circuit - typically 40A for an 8kW heater and 50A for a 12kW. We recommend coordinating with your electrician before ordering so the rough-in is ready when your kit arrives. If you select No Heater, standard 120V is sufficient for lighting only.

Can I see the wood options before committing?

We provide detailed photography and descriptions for each wood species in the Wood Options tab above. For customers who want to see physical samples before ordering, speak with an advisor - we can discuss what is available and help you make a confident decision.

What is the typical timeline?

Most installations ship within 2 weeks from order confirmation. Custom configurations may require up to 6 weeks. We provide detailed timeline estimates at the time of purchase and proactive updates throughout the process.
